Amish Onion Fritters

*ingredients:

°1 cup flour

°2 teaspoons of sugar

°2 teaspoons of yeast

°1/2 teaspoon salt

°1/4 teaspoon black pepper

°2 tablespoons of corn flour

°2 1/2 cups chopped onion

°1 cup of milk

°1/2 cup cooking oil

*Directions:

In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and corn flour, and whisk until combined.

Put aside.

Prepare the onions.

Add the onions to the flour mixture.

Pour in the milk and stir to blend.

In a large skillet, add oil over high heat.

Spoon the onion mixture into the hot oil.

Cook on one side until golden brown and flip to brown on the other side.

Makes 10 to 12 onions.
