Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Buttermilk pie is a classic pancake recipe loved by generations in my family. A pastry pie that comes together quickly and easily with a light texture and slightly tangy flavour.

Similar in texture to chess pie, buttermilk pie uses simple ingredients found in most Southern cuisines. It tastes delicious, yet sweet and tart, with a light texture. Love making this for special family dinners and holiday desserts. This is a great, yet simple to make pie that everyone will love!

I use buttermilk in many recipes, especially baking, but it really shines in this very easy and delicious pie. But, if you’re not a fan of buttermilk, don’t worry, this pancake doesn’t taste like buttermilk. Buttermilk pie has a soft, tart texture that works great in a good pie crust.
